Kayla LeeAnn Garcia passed away September 4, 2017, due to complications from Lupus. She was 32. Kayla was born June 29, 1985, in Corcoran, California to Felicitas Marie Ramirez and Alfonso Garcia Jr. She graduated from Corcoran High School in 2003. Kayla was a case record analyst at Avenal State Prison. She was very proud and loved her job.
Kayla loved her 11-year-old daughter Felicity more than anything in the world. Her greatest joy was just spending time with her. She also loved spending time with her family. Kayla enjoyed cooking, experimenting with bold makeup and hairstyles and, talking anyone’s ear off. Kayla was preceded in death by her great grandmothers Felicitas Chapa Perez, and Anita Ramirez and her grandfather Alfonso (Poncho) Garcia Sr. She is survived by parents, Alfonso Garcia Jr. and Felicitas (Phyllis) Ramirez; daughter, Felicity Annabelle; sister, Sarina Garcia; brother, Alfonso Garcia III; step-father, Gil Mascorro; step-sister, Savana Mascorro; step-brother, Isaac Mascorro; fiancé, Frank Aguiar; grandparents, Trini and Mary Renteria and Margaret Garcia; in addition to numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. Mass services were held Sept. 14 in Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church.
