Kings County Department of Public Health’s COVID-19 Updates
Hanford, CA – The Kings County Department of Public Health (KCDPH) is reporting an 84%
increase in weekly cases since cases dropped to an average of 26 weekly cases in May and
June of this year. With 112 new cases reported last week and a projected 300 new cases by the
end of this week; KCDPH is recommending business and citizens take necessary measures to
protect themselves, their employees and customers from continued transmission of the virus.
“Unfortunately, this virus continues to spread and take advantage of any weakness it can
exploit; everyone should continue to take steps to protect themselves and their loved ones” said
Edward Hill, Director of Kings County Department of Public Health. Director Hill continued, “With
the emergence of new variants on a frequent basis, it’s extremely important that we use every
level of protection available to us moving forward.”
The County continues to stress the importance of following best practices known to limit the
spread of communicable diseases. The following actions can prevent the spread of COVID-19
