Funeral services will be held Dec. 19 at 10 a.m. at the First United Methodist Church for Leonard Soliz Chavez, Sr. of Corcoran who entered the arms of Jesus on December 12, 2014 at the age of 53.
e was born January 19, 1961 in Hanford, to Reynaldo G. Chavez and Mary S. Soliz Chavez. Leonard was Assistant Pastor of Corcoran Apostolic Church for nine years.
He is survived by his wife Julia; his children, Leonard Chavez, Jr, Julian Chavez and Priscilla Marin; his parents, Reynaldo and Mary Chavez; his brother David Chavez; and four grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his brother Rick Chavez.
Visitation will be held at the Corcoran Apostolic Church, Thursday Dec. 18 from 4-9 p.m. with an evening service at 6:30 p.m. Dec. 19, Friday following funeral services, interment will be at Corcoran Cemetery.
