Services were held last Wednesday for Leora Blair Gayer, 77, who died Aug, 27.

Gayer was a resident of Corcoran and a long-time member of Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church where she taught catechism and worked in the Religious Education Department. Prior to retiring, Gayer worked as a nurse’s aide for 15 years.


Survivors include her children Bill Lithgow, Mike Lithgow, Loretta Slevkoff, Robert Gayer and Rebecca Schreuder; sister, Elizabeth Marie La Blanc; nine grandchildren; and one great grandson.


She was preceded in death by her husband, Curtis Gayer, sons, Christopher Lithgow, Paul Lithgow and siblings, Donald and William Blair.


Arrangements were made under the direction of the Bledsoe Family People’s Funeral Chapel.

The cookie contest was decided by just one point and taking home first place was Tiffany Singleton who submitted snickerdoodles. In second place in the cookie contest was Patti Rodriguez who won with her Raspberry Ribbon Cookies.
