Editor, The Corcoran Journal:

The Rotary Club of Corcoran would like to extend a hearty thanks to the community of Corcoran for the great support shown Saturday at our annual Stuff the Bus event.

Corcoran Unified School District loaned us the bus for a day—and our thanks go to Willie, the school bus driver. California State Prison-Corcoran staff donated many school supplies to help us truly stuff the bus and many of our residents brought items as well. We also collected $428 in cash donations, which was used to purchase school supplies, lunch boxes and backpacks for needy Corcoran students.

On hand all day for the event were Sgt. Castro and Officer Galutira from the Corcoran Police Department, along with a great contingent of their Explorer Scouts. They did an awesome job.

With the generous support of all who participated, Rotary was able to assure that many of our most needy children will have the supplies they need for a successful school year. Once again, thank you, Corcoran!
