JOSE LINARES a sophomore at Corcoran High School and member of the VDC Boxing Club of Tulare competed in a boxing match this past weekend in Livingston.
Linares won his match in a split decision over his opponent from Salinas. Jose weighed in at 125 lbs. and competed in the 15-16 age bracket. After his fight, World Champion and Boxing Legend Sugar Ray Leonard came over to congratulate Jose on an impressive performance. Jose’s next tournament fight will be May 30 in Tulare at the VDC Boxing Club. Jose is the son of Hector L Pacheco and Claudia Linares of Corcoran.
