Lois Jean Morris was born to Dillard Tibbets and Susan McCollough in Arkansas on January 24, 1924.
Later in life she moved here to the central valley making a home in Visalia and in Corcoran. She was a florist for many years and even owned her own flower shop in Corcoran.
Lois was very involved with the Missionary Baptist Church in Corcoran and also a member of a Baptist Church in Visalia. She was also a member of the Order of the Eastern Star Chapter in Corcoran.
Lois loved to dance and be social and could often be found attending many of the dance functions held at senior homes in Visalia.
Lois was preceded in death by her husband Gene Morris and son Shelby Morris. She is survived by her daughter Nancy Morris-Homan (Ralph) and son Donnie Morris (Agnes); grandchildren Jennifer Mangini (Gabriel), Rebecca Jean Alexander (Bill), Todd Morris, Scott Morris, Darrel Morris (Angie), and Angie Bennington (Richard); and great grandchildren Paolo Mangini (Marcela), Joe Mangini, Angela Hudgins ( Richard), Randall Tapp (Shyane), Kenny Alexander, Gene Morris, Mark Morris, Charlie Bennington, and Linda Bennington.
A graveside service will be held on Saturday, October 22, 2016 at 1:00 p.m. at the Yocum Creek Cemetery in Green Forest, Arkansas.
