A family party ended in tragedy last Friday when a 32 year old adult male was stabbed.
Corcoran Police officers were called to a party in the 2200 block of Van Dorsten last week at 10:39 p.m. for a subject who had been stabbed.
Officers located the 32-year-old male suffering from stab wounds to his chest and abdomen. Officers learned the victim and had been stabbed by another family member, who was identified as Juan Martin Garcia, 25 of Corcoran. Garcia was still at the scene and had hidden the knife in a trash can.
The victim was transported to an area hospital where he is recovering from his injuries. Garcia was arrested and booked into the Corcoran City Jail for the charges of attempted murder and assault with a deadly weapon. Garcia was later transported and booked into the Kings County Jail where his bail was set at
