Time is running out in the search for young ladies between the ages of 13 – 17 (junior in high school) and between the ages of 17 (a senior in high school) and 24, never married or had children who would like to compete for the title of Miss Kings County’s Outstanding Teen 2015 or Miss Kings County 2015 respectively.

The Miss Kings County Scholarship Pageant will be held March 14. Practices will be held weekly leading up to the competition. Miss contestants will compete in interview, eveningwear, lifestyle and fitness in swimsuit, and talent.  Teen competition consists of interview, talent, eveningwear and lifestyle and fitness in sportswear.  Over $8000 in cash awards, scholarships, gifts and accessories ranging from $100 to $2000 will be awarded. Every contestant will receive a scholarship.

The local pageant is a preliminary to the Miss America Pageant.  The young woman chosen as Miss Kings County 2015 will receive a $2000 scholarship to further her education, serve as an ambassador of Kings County for the ensuing year and go on to compete for the title of Miss California in June.  Miss Kings County’s Outstanding Teen will be awarded $500 and the opportunity to compete for the title of Miss California’s Outstanding Teen. She will be the junior ambassador of Kings County attending many community events with Miss Kings County 2015.  It will be a year full of moments to remember for both young ladies.

The Miss America program has awarded over 45 million dollars to deserving young women wishing to pursue higher education.  The Miss Kings County Scholarship Program Committee is proud to be a part of that longstanding tradition and has previously awarded over $75,000 to our contestants locally.
