Nolan heads to Olympic trials

Chris Nolan of Corcoran is headed to the 2016 Olympic Trials in Omaha, Nebraska.  The trials are scheduled for Sunday, June 26 through Sunday, July 3. 

Nolan will be competing in the 200 Meter Butterfly next Tuesday. He achieved the cut for this meet shortly after graduating from Corcoran High School in 2014, with a qualifying time of 2:01.62. 
Chris, who swims at University of California Santa Barbara, has had a great career so far.  As a freshman, he came in third in the 200 Yard Butterfly and, as a sophomore, he won the event and became a conference champion.  He was named All-Conference first team as a freshman.  As a sophomore he received All Conference first team for his first place finish  in the 200 Yard Butterfly with a time of 1:46.49 and All Conference second team for an eighth place finish in the 100 Yard Butterfly with a time of 48:41.  Christopher is the son of Nick and Shannon Nolan of Corcoran.
