Services will be held Friday, Sept. 4 at 9 a.m. at Resurrection Ministry Church for Ovidio Avila Sauceda, 62, who died August 22 surrounded by his family. He died in Visalia after battling an illness.

Born October 26, 1952, Mr. Sauceda had been a resident of Corcoran for 40 years. He was retired.


Survivors include his wife, Sylvia Sauceda of Corcoran; children, Daniel Sauceda, Manuel Andrade (April), Gilbert Sauceda (Lori), Ernie Sauceda (Dalia), and Sarah Sauceda; eight grandkids; mother, Sofia Avila; two brothers, Francisco and Jose; and two sisters, Mirtala and Lilia.


Following services tomorrow (Friday), interment will be at Corcoran District Cemetery. Services were arranged by the Neptune Society.

The cookie contest was decided by just one point and taking home first place was Tiffany Singleton who submitted snickerdoodles. In second place in the cookie contest was Patti Rodriguez who won with her Raspberry Ribbon Cookies.
