The public is welcome to participate in a public forum with the Kings County Reentry Taskforce in an effort to strengthen services provided to county youth by both the probation and Child Protective Services (CPS) programs.

 

The local public hearing will be held at the Corcoran RAC on Tuesday, Jan. 13, at 10 a.m. The hearing will be held until 12 noon.

The primary goal of the process is to develop and promote stable partnerships with all individuals and organizations invested in the welfare of children and families in the community. The county is developing a preventing recidivism and delinquency through education (PRIDE) program, which aims to preventing recidivism , incidents of delinquency, poor academic outcomes and disproportionate rates.

 

The Kings County Reentry Task Force will also host a public hearing in Hanford and Avenal. In addition to the public forums, webinars will also be held. The Corcoran webinar is set for Jan. 20 between 10 a.m. and 12 p.m.
