Richard Vasquez Hernandez was born in Hanford, California on January 18, 1955 to Lucio Hernandez and Helen Vasquez Hernandez. He died January 29 in Fresno.

Richard was a Fire Apparatus Engineer for 34 years with Kings County Fire Department.

He is survived by his children, Misty, Richard, Eric and Roxanne; his siblings, Celine, Lucio, Patrick, Daniel, Ruben, Anna and Carmen; seven grandchildren; his companion, Sonja Solis; and his brothers and sisters at the Kings County Fire Department.

Visitation was held at Bledsoe Family Peoples Funeral Chapel Thursday, February 17 from 3-6 p.m. at 1501 Whitley Avenue in Corcoran.

Combined Rosary and Mass services were held Friday, February 18 at 9 a.m. in Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church. Following services, interment was at Corcoran Cemetery District.
