Graveside services were held March 24, at the Corcoran Cemetery at 1p.m. for Robert Alcorn. Robert passed away March 16 and peacefully went to be with his Lord.
Robert was born in Hanford, CA on July 8, 1948 to Merkel and Marjorie Alcorn, longtime residents of Corcoran. Robert came to Corcoran at the age of 8 and spent most of his life here. He always loved this community and many friends he came to know through his work as a pharmacist for 43 years and various community activities. He served on the Corcoran School Board for 20 years and considered it an honor and real privilege to be able to serve the children in this town.
Robert was a member of the Harvest Community Baptist Church where he served as a Deacon and Sunday School teacher for 46 years.
Robert was preceded in death by his parents and a treasured grandson Brandon McBride.
Robert is survived by his loving wife Christine. He also leaves three children Kelly McBride (Phillip), Michael Alcorn (Amber), Valerie Kenney (Jim); and seven wonderful grandchildren; a sister, Roberta Williams (Frank); and a brother, Randy Alcorn (Cheryl).
A reception was held at the home of Patty and Jerry Robertson following the interment.
