Robert was born on August 9, 1943. He graduated from Corcoran High School where he was a member of the 1958 championship football team. He participated in carrying the Olympic torch for the 1960 Squaw Valley Olympics.
Robert began working for the J.G. Boswell Company at the age of 18 where he was both a Ginner and Gin Manager before retiring in 2001 after 41 years of service.
Robert will be remembered by most for his sense of humor, the ability to laugh at his own jokes, his “death grip” handshakes and his love for his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
He is survived by two brothers, Donald Cabral and Valentino Cabral; two sisters, Carol Bonilla and Diana Ramirez; seven children, Elizabeth Haynes (Marcus) of Exeter, Kimberly Della of Porterville, Jayson Cabral of Corcoran, Jody Owen (Bradley) of Pismo Beach, Garrett Cabral (Emily) of Corcoran, Breyer Cabral of Arizona and Isabella Cabral; 11 grandchildren, three great-children and numerous nieces and nephews.
Robert was preceded in death by his father, Robert Cabral Sr., his mother, Herminia (Minnie) Ramirez and his sister, Alice Villarreal.
