Roberto Cruz (age 87) of Corcoran, CA went home to be with the Lord June 28, 2015 in his home surrounded by all his family.
Roberto was born in El Porvenir, D.F. Chihuahua, Mexico to parents Antonio and Petronila Cruz. He was a devoted husband to Elisa L. Cruz and was a wonderful and loving father, grandfather and great grandfather. Our father was an exemplified father and totally devoted to his family. He loved being around his family. He was very active and a member of Resurrection Ministries Church where his son Rafael Cruz is the Pastor.
Roberto is survived by his wife Elisa; his children, Fermin Cruz (Kathy), Ralph Cruz, Gerardo Cruz (Irma), Josie Burnias (Benito), Richard Cruz (Bertha), Lollie Cruz and Gustavo Cruz (Ana). He is also survived by 15 grandchildren, 30 great grandchildren and siblings Pablo Cruz, Antonia Gaytan, Gregoria Ojeda and Luciana Vargas.
Roberto was preceded in death by his daughter, San Juana Cruz; grandchildren Jennifer Nicole Burnias and Gerardo Cruz, Jr.; great-grandchildren, Israel Jedediah Cruz and Meyah Reyna Martinez.
We will miss him dearly but our joy and comfort is that he is at peace and with Our Lord.
A viewing was held Thursday, July 2 from 4-8 p.m. with a special message at 6 p.m. at Resurrection Ministries Church, 2824 Whitley Avenue, Corcoran, CA.
Funeral services were held Friday, July 3 at 11 a.m. at Resurrection Ministries Church with burial at the Corcoran Cemetery.
