Services were at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church July 14 for Russell Cortez, who passed away on July 3, 2017. Rosary will start at 9 a.m. and mass will begin at 9:30 a.m.
Russ was a beloved husband, son, father, and grandfather. He was known for his caring heart and amazing work ethic. He put in 38 years of hard work as a Systems Tech for AT&T. He was kind and thoughtful and always willing to help. His passing has left an enormous hole in many hearts. He will be forever missed. Russell is survived by his mother, Lucy; his wife, Chris of 21 years; his brother, Robert; his children, Paul and his wife Luciana, Stacy and her husband Roger, Phillip, Christina and Hannah; and his grandchildren Merissa, PJ, Brodie and Lily. Public viewing was held at the Bledsoe Family People’s Funeral Home July 13, 2017 from 3-7 p.m. Following mass services a reception was held at St. Bernadette’s Hall. Interment was held Monday, July 17, 2017 at 1 p.m. at Calvary Cemetery in Hanford. In lieu of flowers, please donate to the American Heart Association. Arrangements were made under the direction of the Bledsoe Family People’s Funeral Chapel.
