Corcoran Unified School District is looking for a new trustee to fill a vacancy in Area 3. The vacancy was created by the recent resignation of Mary Gonzales-Gomez, who left the board to accept an appointment to the Kings County Board of Education.
Letters of interest for the local board spot are being accepted until the July 28 deadline. Those letters should be sent to Superintendent Rich Merlo, Corcoran Unified School District, 1520 Patterson Ave., Corcoran, CA 93212. The successful applicant must reside in Area 3 and cannot be an employee of the school district. For other qualifications, contact Donnetta Murray at the district office at 992-8888, extension 1224.
