Super Drive-In had made some major upgrades this summer and is inviting local residents to come and take a look. Super Drive-In has been in business for 10 years and is celebrating a decade by putting in new walk-ins, a new grill and hood, new fryers—a totally new kitchen. The local drive-in also has new menus and some new and not-so-new menu items.
Located at 1300 Whitley Avenue, co-owner Sam says his drive-in sells 500 sodas a day and last year was second in Pepsi sales from Fresno to Bakersfield.
Sam says they have added a new digital menu and drive-thru menus as well as new flooring and a flat screen TV in the air conditioned dining room.
Super Drive-In, has added new menu items which include new ice cream frosty blends like Butterfinger, Oreo, Reese’s, Snickers and M&Ms. They also serve classic hot fudge, caramel marble fudge and strawberry parfaits, along with sundaes, shakes and banana splits.
Looking for a big burger? Super Drive-In’s most popular burger combo is the Boss Combo. The Boss Combo includes a burger with two patties, bacon, barbecue sauce and onion rings, a side of fries and a drink.
Not big enough? Well, we won’t tell if you won’t tell but Super Drive-In has had a secret menu item for the last five years that just may top all other burgers. The Dinosaur Burger combo consists of a burger with six patties, cheese, lettuce and tomatoes, large fries and a 32 ounce drink for just $11.99.
“Only a couple of people have eaten all of it,” said Sam.
Scott Withee, a regular customer at Super Drive-In didn’t know about the Dinosaur Burger but does get double cheeseburgers and burritos when he works in Corcoran.
“They take good care of me,” Scott said. “The food’s good and they provide great service.”
Super Drive-In is open seven days a week from 9:30 a.m.-10 p.m. and is operated by co-owners Sam and Hamdi.
