Nieto, Vega earn Col. J.G. Boswell Scholarships
Corcoran High School seniors Samuel Nieto and Carlos Vega have been named this year’s winners of the Colonel James G. Boswell Scholarship. Each student received a full four-year scholarship in the amount of $25,000 per year for tuition, room and board.
J.G. Boswell Scholar Carl Froehlich
Carl H. Froehlich won the Col. James G. Boswell Scholarship in 1970. He shared the prestigious honor with Shirley Fugate and David Barnes. Froehlich died at the age of 63 years old in 2015 but he made an impact as a Boswell Scholar and continues to do so after his death with a memorial Scholarship.
CHS Seniors earn scholarships
Nearly $800,000 in awards were earned last Wednesday by the Corcoran High School senior class. Taking the top honors of The Col. James G. Boswell Scholarship were Katherine Lam and Kaylee Sepulveda who each were awarded $25,000 for four years.

O’Neill, 50, currently resides in Alpharetta, Georgia. She is a 1986 graduate of Corcoran high School. While attending CHS, O’Neill was very active in extra-curricular activities. She participated in cheerleading, basketball, tennis, softball and band.

Pappilli and Ahmed win Col. J.G. Boswell Scholarship

Ashley Pappilli and Mohamed Ahmed have been selected as this year’s recipients of the Col. J. G. Boswell Scholarships. The two Corcoran High School seniors rose to the top of the competition for the 2017-18 school year.
Salgado and Machado win J.G. Boswell Scholarships

The future just got brighter for Angelica Salgado and Marvin Machado, a pair of Corcoran High School seniors who have been announced as this year’s recipients of the Col. J.G. Boswell Scholarships.
Both students will be able to attend any college or university of their choice in the continental United States, with tuition paid up to $25,000 per year, under the terms of the scholarship. This marks the 61st year the awards have been bestowed.
