Corcoran’s first Trunk or Treat event will be held Saturday, Oct. 27, with families invited to partake in the contests—and maybe even some free candy.
The creative contest challenges entries to decorate their truck beds or car trunks for the holiday. The top three Halloween themes will be presented awards. The evening will also include a costume contest, but beware, only properly attired costumes will be accepted. There will also be first through third place awards for the costumes.
The event will be held in front of the Corcoran Police Department headquarters at 1000 Chittenden Ave. Check-in will be held from 3-5 p.m., with the event taking place between 5-8 p.m. Only wrapped candy will be approved for distribution.
Both the Corcoran Police Department and the Kings County Fire Department are hosting the evening, along with the Corcoran Freewill Baptist Church, Corcoran Light House, Harvest Church, Church of Light and H&R Block.
