A 19 year-old male and a 21 year-old female were shot Saturday, Jan. 26 in the 800 block of Claire Avenue.

At approximately 11:15 p.m., officers responded to a report of shots fired. Upon arrival officers located a female victim who had been shot once in the upper thigh. The female was transported to Kaweah Delta Hospital in Visalia.
Officer’s then learned that the Kings County Sheriff’s office conducted a traffic stop on 12th Avenue just outside of Hanford and during the traffic stop the deputies discovered a second gunshot victim who was being transported to Adventist Medical Center in Hanford. The second victim was a male adult and he was suffering from a gunshot wound to the arm. He was treated at the hospital.
Corcoran Police are continuing to investigate the shooting and following up on leads. The police department is asking anyone with information to call 559-992-5151.
