The city is hosting its annual Fall Clean-Up Oct. 1 -8, with one big change this time around. This year, eligible residents who receive trash, green waste and recycle services within the City of Corcoran and Corcoran fringe area must present a voucher when entering the Kings Waste and Recycle facility.
Residents will not be allowed to dump free of charge without presenting the voucher and due to budget cut-backs, the voucher is for one (1) free pick-up or trailer load only during the week.
Event hours are Monday – Saturday, 7a.m. – 4 p.m.. Household hazardous waste will be accepted only on Saturday, Oct.1, from 9a.m. – 2p.m.. This includes paints, pesticides, herbicides, thinners and/or bleaches. Kings Waste and Recycle is closed on Sundays.
The vouchers will be available beginning Sept. 26, and can be picked up at Corcoran City Hall, 832 Whitley Ave. Those picking up vouchers must be a resident of the city and receive city services, and/or be a resident of the city fringe area who receives city services.
